that thru the strong representation of Hon. Governor Serapio Datoc, on August 22, 1951, Executive Order 467 was issued by then President of the Philippines His Excellency Elpidio Quirino creating the municipality of Polanco.

However, it was only on December 8, 1951 where the first set of municipal officials were appointed and sworn in, thus, declaring the birth of a new municipality...POLANCO.
