Ms. Pob. South crowns Mutya sa Polanco 2011




      Twenty-year old Trizia Glae Robles Tubungbanua representing barangay Poblacion South, this municipality, outshone twenty nine other candidates when she bagged the coveted title of Mutya sa Polanco 2011 during the Pageant and Coronation Night held on December 7 at the El Toro Festival site outdoor stage.

     Ms. Tubungbanua, a 4th year Nursing student was also adjudged Best Speaker where the judging of the said minor award was based on the preliminary interview held on December 2 conducted before the panel of interviewers headed by MTC Judge Deborah Garcia Nazario.

     Completing the top three major winners of this year's prestigious beauty tilt included Ms. Crystal Maureen Gaquit representing barangay Milad, First Runner-Up and Ms. Kendy Mae M. Kennedy representing barangay Obay, as the Second Runner-Up who was also awarded as Ms. Touch Mobile, Ms. CF Wellness, Best in Swimsuit, Best in Gown and Best in Festival Wear.

     This year's distinguished panel of judges were Mr. Philamer Baes, Ms. Sheena Mae Quiñanola, Mr. Rotone, Dr. Ronie Gurdiel, Mr. Riel Abejero, Atty. Faith C. Penados and Atty. Rowena C. Magallanes as the Chair of the panel.

     Throughout the event, the contestants competed in four categories: El Toro wear, swimwear, evening gown and interview. Mutya sa Polanco 2010 Ms. Valerie Gabucan crowned the successor assisted by Polanco Mayor Anacleto H. Olvis, Jr.

     Mutya sa Polanco pageant is held as one of the highlights of the El Toro Festival in celebration of the 60th Founding Anniversary of the municipality of Polanco on December 8.
